Once upon a time, there was an amateur marketer looking for ways to achieve financial success.

shinedown second chance

He stumbled upon a cave named WF, with legions of wise old men and women, and hordes of people who looked like wise old men and women.

They were all peddling gems and treasures that they claimed to be the key to wealth and riches.

Just buy  this, and $100000,000,000,000,000 will be deposited into your bank account before you can even say “Woo hoo I have $100000,000,000,000,000!!!”.

For some reason, stuff like these sell incredibly well in the caved named WF.

Though amateurish, this marketer was wise enough to know that these peddlers are mainly

  1. Scammers
  2. Stupid.

The next peddler he stumbled upon, though, looked really smart, really wise.

He wasn’t peddling a gem.

He was selling a shovel.

And a manual that told you where to go to dig for gold.

For same cost that people were selling for the “keys to wealth” that were worth up to $100000,000,000,000,000.

Something told the amateur that this peddler was onto something.

Unfortunately, this amateur was dead broke and had no money to buy this shovel and manual.

Disappointedly, he approached the wise old man and told him his story and motivations; that he would come back to buy the shovel and manual once he has saved up some money. He was dead broke because he was still schooling!

The wise old man looked kindly at the amateur, smiled, and handed a shovel and a copy of the manual to the amateur.

“There you go, little one. Use the gold you find to buy some textbooks. Consider it my way of giving back to the world.”

Elated, the amateur goes out, follows the manual, finds gold, and succeeds in the cutthroat world of gold-digging.

Life is good.

He has since purchased many other types of shovels and manual from the wise old man.

Then it dawned upon him; maybe the wise old man already knew this would happen!

That the amateur would get the gold and thus come back to him to purchase more expensive shovels!

He wasn’t being altruistic afterall..

That sneaky bastard!

But then again.. What a deviously smart way to do business.

The amateur has been a fan of the wise old man ever since.

And he lived and is still living, happily ever after..

P.S. The wise old man is Paul Myers. The amateur is yours truly. The shovel he gifted me was “The Thud! Report”.

If you missed the previous parts of the 10 Day Cash Secret Case Study, here they are:
10 Day Cash Secret Case Study Part 0
10 Day Cash Secret Case Study Part 1
10 Day Cash Secret Case Study Part 2
10 Day Cash Secret Case Study Part 3

It’s been more than 5 months since I last updated this case study.

Here are the number of pages currently indexed for the site.

And here’s the amount of money I’ve made from it in affiliate sales.

I think I have about $5 worth of clicks from adsense as well.

So it’s about $25 worth of earnings from a $7 domain name.  And I’m sure if I decide to sell this site, I could get $50-$100.

This obviously isn’t a wildly successful site, but the key here is that I spent less than an hour working on it, and I didn’t even actively try to build links.

I’ve assigned Keshia, my assistant from Philipines, to help me build a handful more of these sites and we’ll see what happens from there.

My conclusion is that this method does work, and you could just stumble upon a goldmine if you select a successful and profitable niche.

I’m going to try milking more out of this site and see what happens.

Again, here’s the link to 10 Day Cash if you’re interested in trying it out yourself.

[If you missed Part 1 of the Speed PPC Case Study, it's here.]

So I’ve finally got around to implementing Speed PPC

to my current running campaign. I’m starting small, so basically I’m just making use of

Speed PPC to generate the campaigns for Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

It was an almost complete cut and paste job from my previous small campaign, so it didn’t take much time at all. The campaign generation was a breeze. The uploading part proved abit challenging though..

Google: Being the platform I was most familiar with, I thought I would be able to import Speed PPC smoothly. Alas, I got abit confused there and had to refer to the video again for instructions from Speed PPC. But still, with that little bit of guidance, it was no sweat.

YSM: I got abit pissed here. Speed PPC seemed to generate the campaigns fine, but somehow I couldn’t find the import function in YSM. I did a few searches online and found people saying that you have to be using “Gold” level or something to have the import function disable. I just shot them an email today asking if this was true, and if it was, what kind of rule this was.

So yes, mission failure for YSM.

MSN: I thought MSN was going to be the most tedious of all three but surprisingly, the uploading process was really smooth as well.

So now, I’ve just got to wait and see if Yahoo! comes back to me with a favorable reply. And then I’ll post the stats for this campaign soon. But I wouldn’t be blogging much these 2 weeks because.. Sigh, exams are coming.

And anyway, I was exploring the Speed PPC

forums today and was glad to see that there were people who really knew their stuff damn well. I learnt quite abit from there, and will be going in again to read carefully, the threads of all the experts present, and learn from their experience.
